Ethnic and Cultural Traits (Whether we like it or not!)

Dear Friends: "Let's get things back into Perspective!"

First of all "Happy Easter" to all those people who believe in the biblical stories I grew up with when I was a kid! (I'll let you make any supposition you like from that statement!)

NEXT: We have to address some issues that have been raised by the influx of refugees crossing the Manitoba and Quebec border.

First of all, it's not that many as far as sheer numbers go, but there are a few facts emerging that are cause for apprehension.

I heard figures that some fifty percent of the people coming across the border seem to have criminal records ...., which makes me wonder how they even got into the States before they decided to come here.

On top of that we have the case of the guy who assaulted a female border guard on the way to a detention center, and then trashed a holding cell he was put in.

This fact brings back stories my wife told me about her three years in Saudi Arabia where the women are covered and segregated for their own protection.

That's right folks, for their own protection. Look, the average male Arab is a misogynistic son-of-a-bitch by nature because of the culture they live in over there. Oh it's not as bad in some parts like Lebanon and Jordan, but then gets worse in some places like Egypt, and then Iran, and then the worst culprit of them all ...., Saudi Arabia.

These societies have always been comprised of these assholes to one degree or another ......, and it almost seems that the further south you go (First from Scandinavia, then down through Germany and Britain, to France and Italy, and then Turkey and finally the Middle East) the more hot blooded and machismo men seem to get!

(The only group that doesn't fit this description is Israel because of the strong European influence on its population.)

I am slowly starting to realize that women are covered up in the Middle East not just for the sake of modesty, but also as a method of subjugation ....., and a protection from other men in general!

As I keep saying folks, each culture has its own distinct  habits and traits, which helps make the world go round!

Folks, I am going to go even further out on a limb here by agreeing with Professor Philippe Rushton of the University of Western Ontario here in London where during the 1980s and 1990s he advanced his theories on race and intelligence, race and crime, and other apparent racial variations. In a nutshell he postulated that Orientals were the smartest and most inhibited of the races, while whites were in the middle, and blacks were the the least inhibited and intelligent. (Only on average kids, and it wasn't a great, earth shattering difference! Any one who tries to tell you that everyone and everything is equal should have their head examined.)

Rushton's controversial work was heavily criticized by the scientific community for the questionable quality of its research, with many alleging that it was conducted under a racist agenda ........, when in reality it was more a case of offending the sensibilities [sic] of the politically correct crowd. (And by the way folks, anyone who starts protesting my comments on these pages will be guilty of a hate crime themselves!)

Anyway, like I said, it takes all kinds to make the world go round!
