Dear Friends: "Let's get things back into perspective!

News out of New York this morning that NBC's Matt Lauer has been fired for some sort of sexual misconduct.

NBC News Group Chairman Andrew Lack said in a memo that the company received a “detailed complaint” from a colleague and that, “after serious review,” decided to terminate his employment. 

“While it is the first complaint about his behavior in the over 20 years he’s been at NBC News, we were also presented with reason to believe this may not have been an isolated incident,” said Lack. 

“Our highest priority is to create a workplace environment where everyone feels safe and protected, and to ensure that any actions that run counter to our core values are met with consequences, no matter who the offender.” He added, “We are deeply saddened by this turn of events.”

Meanwhile: The only person in the media and entertainment  industry that has not been been touched by any scandal, Betty White, is pulling double and sometimes triple duty filling in for all the casualties of this latest round of insinuation and innuendo to the point that her health is suffering. (After all she is in her nineties)


Back home here in Canada the federal government, at the behest of various left wing university groups, is pushing for the issuance of identity cards that describe a person's sexual orientation as being either gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, trans, non-­binary, heterosexual and/ or gender diverse with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau saying he is ready to apologize to anyone who feels they will be left out or wrongly identified. (Especially the trans-gendered.)

The way I see it anyway!
