Dear Friends:
There is so much about the United States that remains a mystery to your often confused reporter when you compare them to the rest of the world.
Aside from a whole myriad of cultural quirks, the two main differences rest in the area of health care and gun control........ neither of which are about to resolve themselves!
Aside from universal health care, guns epitomize the American 'Wild West' cultural attitude that is prevalent in their society. (Re-enforced by movies and TV)
It almost seems that it would be Un-American to attempt to regulate guns, which is an attitude fostered and continually promoted by the NRA and their handfull of Lobbyists! (Another reason to get rid of (Lobbying!")
"So what do other countries do!" You ask.
(Go ahead........ ask!)
As we mentioned, New Zealand immediately banned assault weapons. (and bought them all back from gun owners) right after that massacre at a Mosque down there....., and now that Toronto is getting a gun problem (with handguns brought up from the States) there are plans underway to put severe restriction on them........... if not ban them entirely!
Now the question: IS THIS a cultural problem, or is it something far more basic?
Since the majority of Drumpf supporters down in the States are the people against any form of gun control........ maybe its just a stupidity problem!

The way I see it anyway!
