One Day at a Time!

Mackenzie Phillips, the daughter of musician John Phillips (The Mamas and the Papas) and star of the sitcom One Day at a Time, has shocked the world by disclosing that she had a sexual relationship with her father.

Not only that, but she has an extensive history of drug and alcohol abuse that should have put her in the grave years ago, but, she must be going to the same spa that Keith Richards goes to because she is still very much alive and kicking!

As anyone who watched the show "One day at a time" knows, Mackenzie was eventually dumped because of her drug problems, so she retired and went to live in that motel outside of Buffalo where Gabe Kaplan and Sally Struthers also lived.

The whole purpose of commenting on this bit of news (when it's everywhere in the media) is that it's a shame Mackenzie Phillips is so low on money that she had to bring these sordid details up in a tell all book!

At least I assume that is the reason for this expose, since I can't imagine her doing this for any other reason!

There was a time when discretion and decorum took precedence over titillation and vulgarity, but the modern day trend of appealing to the lowest common denominator keeps lowering the bar with every proclamation of "Mea Culpa!"
