imagesCAP5HEZANews from the Perspective Research Department and the Naked news staff that Rob Ford is about to surpass Justin Beiber as the most famous Canadian!
He is certainly the most famous Canadian politician (Stephen Who?).
Everyone knows the “crack-smoking mayor of Toronto,” as some U.S. news outlets have taken to calling him.

Merrill E. Newman, a former U.S. special forces officer, made a brief stopover in North Korea on his way to China!

Newman, a pensioner from Palo Alto, California, was pulled off an Air Koryo flight in North Korea minutes before it was due to depart for Beijing on October 26.
His wife, Lee Newman, told CNN earlier this week that her husband went to North Korea to “put some closure” on his time there during the Korean war 60 years ago!
2013-11-30T110609Z_2_CBRE9AT0BLO00_RTROPTP_2_KOREA-NORTH-NEWMANWith a shaky hand and failing eye sight, Merrile confessed to a long list of crimes the North Korean government made him “acknowledge” so he could avoid being shot and shit upon!
Public documents in South Korea and the United States show U.S. officers worked as “advisers” to groups of anti-communist partisans during the Korean War. The conflict pitted the Communist North, backed by China and the Soviet Union, against the republican South, backed by the United States.
A U.S. State Department spokesman said there was no immediate comment on the news. The State Department had previously refused to provide any details of the arrest other than confirming the detention of a U.S. citizen.

imagesCADG4KJHThe Longmont California Times-Call reports  46-year old Suzette Hall was arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of practicing cosmetology without a license.
Hall’s former partner says she advertised $45 topless haircuts online.

2-Ply-Toilet-Paper-Annual-AwardAccording to the arrest warrant, the former partner (who is also our “Asshole of the day) called police about the topless styling because she “did not believe this was safe or proper.”
Hall’s ex-husband told police she set up shop in Loveland and offered services as “Rebel Barber.”
He told police she applied for “a nude license for hairstylists,” but no such license exists.
SO, LET’S SEE IF WE GOT THIS STRAIGHT! The tits were fine, as a matter of fact, they were GREAT, but cutting hair without a license was a Nay Nay

If ya didn’t know already, Japan is absolutely GA-GA over ‘Anne of Green Gables!’
anne-of-green-gables-is-an-enduring-icon-in-japanP.E.I. is hoping to draw more tourists from Canada in 2014, but it’s also relying on a new TV series in Japan to help attract many more fans to Anne of Green Gables.
The province released its Tourism PEI and PEI 2014 marketing plan Friday. While most efforts will focus on potential visitors from Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, it also hopes to capitalize on a 156-part Japanese series about Anne of Green Gables.
It’s being produced by NHK, Japan’s national broadcaster, and will be shown in a time slot that draws tens of millions of viewers.

2013-11-27T183322Z_1_CBRE9AQ1FJO00_RTROPTP_2_SPACE-COMETComet ISON passed just 730,000 miles (1.2 million km) from the surface of the sun at 1:37 p.m. EST/1837 GMT on Thursday. Astronomers used a fleet of solar telescopes to look for the comet after its slingshot around the sun, but to no avail.
“I’m not seeing anything that emerged from the behind the solar disk. That could be the nail in the coffin,” astrophysicist Karl Battams, with the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, said during a live broadcast on NASA TV.”
“It’s sad that it seemed to have ended this way, but we’re going to learn more about this comet,” he added.
At closest approach, the comet was moving faster than 217 miles per second(350 km per second) through the sun’s atmosphere. At that distance, it reached temperatures of 5,000 degrees Fahrenheit(2,760 degrees Celsius) – hot enough to vaporize not just ices in the comet’s body, but dust and rock as well.
If the comet or any large fragments survived the close encounter with the sun, they would be visible to the naked eye in Earth’s skies in a week or two, but all indications so far  suggest that it burned up just like that Egyptian or Greek kid who flew too close to the sun back a while ago!

imagesCA8RZVILSpeaking of starry stuff……………..,  Tuesday night, just before 8 p.m. Eastern Time, a bright flash of light and a sonic boom to the west of Montreal sent people to Twitter and Facebook to flood the internet with speculation about what it could have been.
It took a couple of days, but researchers have now confirmed that it was a meteor that exploded high above the ground.
Meanwhile, officials have not confirmed whether the flash and boom was in English ………………., or in French!
