Is Duffy really guilty?

Dear Readers:


For as long as this whole Mike Duffy thing has been going on I have felt a certain ambiguity about it!




This feeling was heightened today as I was listening to the noon news on the CBC, when it occurred to me that while the prosecution claimed the rotund-one flew somewhere to buy a dog ......, but he stated that he also conducted Senate business.


So we might have a case of someone putting the horse in front of the cart.




Bear with me!




The prosecution claims Duffy went to buy a dog, and he said he also did Senate business, when the fact of the matter is that Duffy went somewhere on Senate business, and while he was there ......, looked for a dog!!!!




This is a small, but very important difference, and it's not the only instance
of the Crown trying to have the tail wag the dog ....., as it were!




It should be interesting to watch the whole thing shake out over the next few weeks!
