Dear Readers: "Let's get things back into Perspective!"
We will start off with one thing today, which will lead me into something totally different
O.K....., Bill Maher said 'nigger' on his show, and he said it in real time [sic] when he referred to himself as a "house nigger!" (Real Time host Bill Maher and Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE) were talking about Maher visiting the senator’s home state. Sasse quipped, “We’d love to have you work in the fields with us.” Maher then made his move, saying, “Work in the fields? Senator, I’m a house n*****.”)
Like it or not, given the context, it was a mildly offensive yet quite funny remark that got blown way out of proportion by every self-righteous asshole within the sound of Bill's voice! (Currently part of the politically correct Zeitgeist is that you can't say this word at any time, anyplace and anyhow ......, you can only refer to it as the 'N" word, as in "n****r.")
Now that we have this in "PERSPECTIVE," (God I love that word!) let's get to the reason I am going on about this while every other Tom and Hairy Dick is beating the drums for someone to censure Billy!
Maher's EX-girlfriend jumped into the fray today and let it be known far and wide that: "Bill used to say that word all the time around the house!"
First of all, just the fact that she would bring this up at all shows that she still had a certain amount of animosity for him, and second, given the circumstances, who's to say whether that was true or not! (When you're playing "get even" truth doesn't enter into it very often kids!)
Yup, when it comes to getting even, men take the direct approach and just punch you in the nose, while women are sneaky ......., and a lot more dangerous!
